How do I Join OwuPress
Click on the "Register" button on the top right-hand corner of the website, complete the form and activate your account.
How much do I get paid?
Currently, articles/stories posted on OwuPress.com earn a minimum of $5 for every 1,000 unique views generated in the first 30 days of publication. The unique view is one view per one IP. Repeat views from the same IP is not unique. Therefore, 1000 page impression is not necessary 1000 unique views because those impressions could be from the same person/IP. Only approved and published articles are eligible for payout.
How do I know my accrued payments?
Visit your account dashboard page to view your accrued paid views and referrals earnings. Pls, note that we do not manually calculate the author's earnings. Instead, pls check your account dashboard for your accrued payments.
When will I be paid?
Once your accrued payments have reached the minimum payout threshold, you will be paid. The current threshold is $5, and you can withdraw your expenses from your account dashboard. You have to initiate withdrawals from your end for you to be paid. For payments methods and pay rates threshold, please see the Payment page.
What can I write about?
Write on topics that attract audiences, such as Film, TV, Wrestling, Gaming, Comics, mysteries, misconceptions, hidden knowledge, such as things most people don't know about. You are welcome to write on any topic, provided it does not incite violence, terror, and hatred. We also encourage you to write on general knowledge, excellent general knowledge about anything—science, geography, lifestyle, culture. All articles are human-edited, and they undergo strict Copyscape checks to ensure that articles posted on OwuPress are not plagiarised.
How do I create content?
Once you're registered on the site, you can create articles and post them for our editorial team to review for publication. Please note that submissions are not a guarantee of publication.
How often can I contribute?
As often as you like, although getting content approved for publication is at the discretion of our editorial team.
When will my work get published?
Once you've submitted your finished article, it'll be passed onto the appropriate member of the editorial team, who'll check that it's in line with our existing style and standard of publishing and also passes the Copyscape checks. Then, once it's ready, it'll be published at the soonest appropriate opportunity.
My submission was rejected?
Our editorial team is committed to publishing the best possible content. Occasionally, they'll have to reject articles they feel did not meet the standard of stories that our audience are interested in or not up to a standard we could consider publishing. If your content is not published within 28 days of submission, it will not be published.
Why was my OwuPress Account Deleted?
Every article you submit to OwuPress costs $0.05 to verify that the paper was not plagiarized or copied from other websites. To reduce the time and cost of checking copied content, OwuPress now operates a zero-tolerance policy. Any user who submits articles from other websites will have their accounts deleted and all accrued money forfeited.
OwuPress is a website where people write and post original articles, articles written themselves (NOT COPIED FROM ANOTHER website). You must own the copyright to the paper, and the article must never have been posted on other websites. Our sophisticated in-house software detects any plagiarized content.
