A Man Saved by Assassins sent to Kill Him, You will be Amazed at the Reason.
A story was told of a young man, by name Omemma, who traveled to Lagos from the village; there he made it after many years of struggling and education. He visits his mother, who was a widow almost every time, at least three times or more every year. Whenever he comes home to visit, whether his mother was in need of money, rapper, and other materials things or not, he would always supply those to his mother as a self obligatory duty. His mother was not the only woman enjoying the blessings of a good son; there was another woman a few years older than his mother who was also a widow living next to them. Almost everything Omemma buys for his mother he also buys for this woman. He treated this widow as a mother which made her love him as though he was her real or biological son.
However, this widow has her own son who also lives in Lagos, but he comes home when he likes, sometimes once in five years. But whenever he comes home, his mother will take him to the house of Omemma, next to their house to help her thank Omemma's mother for allowing his son Omemma to take care of her as if she was her mother. Both sons of these widows have not met themselves for once. But the son of the widow living next to the house of the mother of Omemma will always see the picture of Omemma hung on the wall anytime he comes to the house of Omemma in the village. So he became conversant with his face and name even though he had not met with him in person for once.
After some years, there was a vacancy in the office of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the company Omemma was working. Among the whole candidates, there were only two most qualified for the office, and Omemma was one of the two. So he contested fairly with his opponent and won him vividly and was promoted to the office of a CEO. But the person he won was not happy, and he also vowed within himself to become the CEO of the company, and to do that, the young Omemma must die.
This wicked and paranoid soul went and hired assassins and gave them the details of his C.E.O including his picture to enable the hired killers to kill the young Omemma. When the leader of this gang saw the picture of the person he was to kill, he knew that he must have met with or known the person somewhere. He ordered his boys not to shoot or hurt the man until he had a heart to heart talk with him.
The whole arrangement was made and the young Omemma was kidnapped. When he was brought before the leader of the gang, he was forced to kneel down before him. The leader of the gang asked him, Do you know me, man?
“No I haven't met you for once in my life” the young Omemma replied.
Where are you from? What is the name of your village?” He asked again. The young man told him the name of his village and out of shock and gradual vivid understanding of who he thought the young man could be, the leader of the gang further asked him his name and the name of his mother. The moment the young man told the leader of the gang "My name is Omemma" and also told his mother's name and the name of his village, the leader of the gang then realized that indeed the young man was who he thought him to be.
“Do you know a widow in your village called Da Agness that her son is living in Lagos?” The leader of the gang asked.
Yes, I do, but I have not met him for once. She always told me about her son living in Lagos whenever I visited her after visiting my mother”. The young Omemma replied.
“Young man thank your God, your good works have redeemed your life today. Your good works in your village, especially to that old widow is spreading around and even reaching us here in Lagos. Go, young man, you are a free man. But before you go let me say this to you; continue with your good works because it pays, and be careful in your office, many are there who don't like good, kind, honest, and sincere persons like you. Someone you may know paid us to kill you, so be careful.”
Thank you. But who are you, and how do I pay back this favor you've given me? The young Omemma asked.
My name or who I am is not important. As for how you will return the favor, continue with your good works, and don't stop being who you are. As long as you do this, you are paying back the favor I have shown you. The leader of the gang said. He ordered his boys and they released him and made sure he left safely.
Members of the gang were dismayed and worried over the act of the gang leader. When they confronted him, he told them that the young man was the reason his mother was still alive and the reason for living like a mother. He told them that he still wants his mother to live, so killing the young man was like killing his own mother. "But how are we going to relay this to him, I mean the man that paid us to kill your man?" The leader of the gang was asked. Leave that to me, I will handle it. The leader replied.
The gang leader called the desperate wicked soul and told him that the man he asked them to kill is his brother and also warned him that nothing should happen to him. He further told him that he would be monitoring him to know all his moves towards the young Omemma and that if he makes any stupid move, then, he should consider himself a dead man. This was how the wicked soul stopped planning evil against the young Omemma. And as a result of this, Omemma was able to enjoy his new office without further threat or fear. The little goodness he showed to the poor widow saved his life and preserved his office. He never knew that his good works were being recorded for him and that it will speak better for him one day.
This is the act of wisdom and the benefits of wisdom. Remember that wisdom helps and teaches one to do the right thing at the right time, to the right people at the right place. This is exactly what wisdom helped and taught the young Omemma to do, and in return, he reaped the good reward of his good labor (This is a fictional composition, composed and written by me).
