Coronavirus:US,Italy Churches closed down.Pastor Oyedepo cancels church services

The Coronavirus pandemic is causing serious panic among religious leaders around the world. Churches are set to shut their doors to their faithful in Africa most populous nation of Nigeria.

It is being reported that the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel in Maryland, USA, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, has announced the cancellation of church services for this weekend.. Pastor Isaac Oyedepo made the announcement on Facebook, adding that the decision is in line with the state of emergency declared by Governor Logan of Maryland .

 On Thursday, leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints told its 15 million members worldwide all public gatherings would be suspended until further notice. None of Mormonism's 30,000 congregations will gather for sacrament meetings this Sunday, or for the near future.

US Catholic dioceses and archdioceses have canceled Mass and nearly 20 have lifted the obligation to attend Mass.

Earlier this week, Rome closed down all its Catholic churches, and US Catholic dioceses and archdioceses have canceled Mass and nearly 20 have lifted the obligation to attend Mass. Other dioceses are encouraging older Catholics to stay home or to forgo the sacrament of Communion

However, many faithful are beginning to doubt if religion itself is indeed what it claims to be. If the house of God is closing its doors to people who have diseases where is then the safest place for people to go to. The church is supposed to be the safest place for people to seek solace when in difficulties. Closing its doors completely defeats the essence of churches, mosque and other religious houses. Some may argue that the virus can spreads easily in churches   but what does religion teaches, have faith in a God and all problems will be solved. Obviously, this is not the case!
