Why Frequent Divorce with the Current Generation?

Is divorce the best solution? Why are there too much cases of divorce?
Divorce is a normal legal separation between two married partners living together. In most families, men get married to women with aims of living together as couples, helping each other meet goals, and create new beings in life. However, in rare cases, women marry men and keep them as husbands of the house in readiness for bearing children, security, and sexual satisfactions. Under normal circumstances, the roles of each partner are clearly defined when the two are yoked depending with social and cultural practices of the society. However, families face challenges in marriages that lead to divorce. As a regard, this essay explores the causes of family divorce, its impacts to children, couples, and the society.
For there to be divorce, there must be marriage. How marriage did come into existence?
Biblically, God created Adam and gave him dominion over the creations of this world. However, the man was hopeless, desperate, and lonely, a situation that steered God to create him a helper for companionship. Therefore, Adam and his wife lived together as a couple and bore children that brought the current generations. Different mythical and cultural beliefs explain how the first family came into existence. Generally, despite the differences in the originality of families, a common goal of living together and getting children has been attained.
Then, why divorce?
The main cause of divorce in families is infidelity. After the couple have stayed and familiarized with one another, the first love fades away and leads to unfaithfulness. Men are ordained to love their wives while women ought to submit to their husbands. When either of these fails, the partners change their mind and develop negative perceptions towards each other characters. The husband or the wife looks for another partner to console his or her heart and ends up in private affairs leading to divorce. As a regard, the couples should remain faithful to each other in respect and love.
In real sense, divorce is a painful and hurting decision. The couples who have gone through divorce experience miserable, hopeless, and desperate life. It lead to depression and death of great souls with high visions in life. However, some people are favored by divorce that results to changing their life positively. After separation from their partners, they get peace of mind and rest from unbearable conditions of life. In marriages where couples keeps on fighting and blaming each other, divorce act as a sign of relieve. Counseling and negotiations with friends, parents, elders, and religious leaders helps to minimize the cases of divorce. From the psychology point of view, divorce should be the last option for couples to take in the moment of disagreements.
When Bull’s fight, who feels the pinch?
“When two bulls fight, it is the grass that feels the pinch”. This is a saying from the African communities that explain the pain children undergo when couple’s divorce. In most cases, children detached from either of the parent suffer deficiency of parental care, love, education, and support. They become desperate in life with others engaging in drugs, sexual immorality, dropping out from school, and holding to criminal activities. The girl child may be sexually assaulted when denied parental protection. Some women prefer leaving the children in their father’s custody while others opt to die with them. Remarrying of another wife or husband gives the children a hard life of adapting to the new parent who might not have parental love to them. For that reason, the bulls fight should not affect the children and in case it does, the authorities and society should protect them.
According to most of the government constitutions across the world, all children have rights to good education, food, shelter, and clothing. Also, many communities allow children to inherit the properties of their parents. However, these privileges gets limited and disrupted in cases of divorce. Children lose their parental inheritance. Psychologically, the children suffer from mental disorder. Too many worries lead to depression and committing suicide. Therefore, all governments should ensure fair justice to the rights of children.
In conclusion, marriages are meant for couples to help each other. Divorce is not an option in marriages, and in case it is, then it should not affect the children. Love, respect, faithfulness, and obedience strengthen the marriage union. Divorce in marriages should be avoided and instead, solutions need to be sought in order to reconcile the partners and salvage the relationship. Children deserve the rights of parental love, basic needs, education, and inheritance of properties despite the cases of divorce.
