There are lots of things we do every day that we do not realize how harmful they are. Check out some of them below and try to effect a change.
1. Watching Television:

Many people watch television every day, as they see it as a means to kill boredom. There are a whole lot of things you can watch on TV, depending on your interest. You can watch football, movies, cartoons, documentaries, you name it. And when you become engrossed in whatsoever you are watching, you won’t even notice the passage of time.
However, you may want to limit the amount of time you spend sitting in front of the TV because it could prove harmful, giving that those hours of inactivity can increase the risk of suffering from a blood clot in the lungs and possibly dying.
2. Over-eating:

You could love food so much that you would want to eat at every given opportunity. However, you should be careful and watch the amount of food you consume, as you could suffer obesity as a result of over-eating. And according to scientists, obese people have a lower expectancy rate.
3. Eating at your Work Desk:
A lot of people do this but it is not really healthy because your work place most likely contains a lot of germs. In addition, when you spend your meal time at your work desk, it increases your time of physical inactivity.
4. Cleaning Your Ears:

You may be tempted to always clean your ears at the slightest opportunity, however, this may not be a very healthy practice, as excessive cleaning of your ears could lead to the damage of your eardrums.
5. Drinking Water Quickly:
You could feel thirsty while you have something urgent to attend to and as a result, you will be forced to drink plenty of water in a little space of time. This could be a harmful practice, as it may result in swelling of the lungs and brain, due to the inability of the kidneys to process the large amount of water quickly enough.
6. Not Exercising:

You could spend all day watching TV, hanging out with friends, lying on the bed with your eyes glued to your phone screen, or doing any other thing which could be fun to you and neglect the important of exercising regularly. If you don’t engage in regular exercises, it could result in wrinkles, arthritis and in some cases, strokes and heart attacks, which might even prove fatal.
7. Smoking:

Smoking is a habit that a lot of people are addicted to and it could lead to lung cancer and consequently death. Even if you do not smoke, inhaling smoke from the environment around you is something you should try to avoid, as it is equally very harmful.
8. Plucking Your Nose Hair:
When you feel the presence of foreign bodies, you could be tempted to pluck your nose hair with your fingers. However, doing this often is not advisable, as it could result in the tearing of the skin around the nostrils, giving room for bacteria to invade your body, thereby weakening your resistance.
