Why Manchester United Remain A Great Club Despite Present Challenges

Manchester United shall be great again, she will rise like the sun, blossoms like the Rose flower and gallant like the powerful and speedious horse of a warrior king.

Manchester United as a Football Club, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, that competes in the Premier League, the top flight of English football. Nicknamed "The Red Devils", the club was founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, changed its name to Manchester United in 1902 and moved to its current stadium, Old Trafford, in 1910.

How come the name Manchester United

According to research, the words "Manchester" and "United" surround a pennant featuring a ship in full sail and a devil holding a trident.

History has shown that Manchester United as a football club has achieved a lot in the past. The football club has won more trophies than any other club in English football according to the history of the English Premier League, with a record of 20 League titles, 12 FA Cups, five League Cups and a record 21 FA Community Shields. United have also won three UEFA Champions Leagues, one UEFA Europa League, one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, one Intercontinental Cup, and one FIFA Club World Cup.

With all these achievements in the past, Manchester United appeared to be facing her tough times, especially in the last season and this current season. This notwithstanding, Manchester United is still a great and formidable football club and team to contend with. The Manchester United tough time is not based on not having good players, no, they do. It is mainly on hard luck to get the ball into the back of the net. Any team that plays Manchester United, whether they lose or win, will know and testify that they have played with a formidable team. Their football possession in any football match is awesome.

Before the lockdown, Manchester United has played 27 matches, won 11, drew 8, and lost 8 in this season's premier league. And after the lockdown, the football club has bounced back with winning.

Also, before the lockdown, Manchester United has won Chelsea two times this season with 4 goals to none, and 2 goals to none respectively. They also beat Watford 3:0 and rose to 5th position in the table with 41 points and just 3 points behind Chelsea before the lockdown. After the lockdown, however, Manchester United has gone down to 6th position with 49 points, 3 points behind Wolves, and 5 points behind Chelsea. Manchester United has been known to come from the back to winning leagues, this season may not be exceptional. Even if Manchester United didn't win the premier league this season, it is a fact that it will finish among the big four. Also, there is the hope of winning other cups, such as the UEFA Champions League, where Manchester United is 2 points behind Juventus in Group H and FA Cup where they are through with the fourth round winning it comfortably 6:0.
