Responsibility: The Price for Greatness

1. RESPONSIBILITY: THE PRICE FOR GREATNESS

Hear this truth, nothing in this Life is free. When you enter into the supermarket there is a price tagged on every item. At the time I wanted to start blogging, I saw some platform that said” create a blog for free”. You know what? It was not truly free. Even as free as salvation you still have to pray the simple prayer of salvation. So it is expedient we understand the place of man in his covenant walk with God. The place of man is the place of responsibility.
Responsibility is the reason man has placed on himself to move God to do a thing.

Isaiah 43:4 (kjv)

“Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life”.

In the above scripture the word ” since” is synonymous to “because” that is, the ” reason”.

Responsibility as defined by the dictionary is the state of being responsible, accountable or answerable. It is a duty, obligation and liability for which someone is held. Greatness is the quality of being great.

God is a God of responsibility that’s why He weighs our actions 1Samuel 2:3. God is not a God of “no reason” .

God will never do a thing without a reason , that is the responsibility man has to place on himself to move God. The easiest way to thwart God’s plan for man is to make man irresponsible, so it behooves to say that man is the greatest determining factor of his success. God is a miracle working God and miracles without responsibility are mere fallacies, otherwise magic and God is not a magician.

Looking at the above scriptures ,we often fail to recognize that they say “with God” not “to God” or “for God”and with is a co-operative preposition.

EXAMPLES OF SOME OF THE PLACES WHERE RESPONSIBILITY WAS REQUIRED IN THE BIBLE

1. MOSES ( EXODUS 14:15-16).
MOSES was expecting God to do something at the Red Sea, but God told him to take responsibility by lifting up his rod and stretching forth his arm. If moses had not taken responsibility, I believe that the Egyptians would have devoured them (the isrealites).
2. GIDEON ( JUDGES 7:17)
Gideon recieved an instruction from God and told his men to take responsibility and do as he does.
3. DAVID ( 1SAM 17:24-54 )
David took courage and responsibility to challenge Goliath, if David did not do that he would have never been a king.
4. JESUS;
i. The wedding in Cana ( John 2:1-11)
At the wedding, the wine for the wedding ran out, but Mary made a striking statement in verse 5 precisely ” whatsoever he saith unto you, do it”. And Jesus passed an instruction ( responsibility) to fill the pot with water and they got their desired result.
ii. At the tomb of Lazarus ( JOHN 11:39).
The resurrection of Lazarus even as simple as it may have seem, Jesus gave an instruction to take away the stone.
5. APOSTLE PAUL ( 1CORINTHIANS 15:10)
In 1 Cor 15:10, in as much as apostle Paul acknowledged the grace factor, he also made us to understand that he laboured ( taking responsibility) also, no wonder he said in 1 Cor 9:16 necessity is laid upon me , woe to me if I preach not the gospel.
Now rise and take responsibility concerning your business, carrer, academics , marriage,any otherwise.
And as you take God’s word ( instruction) and live with it, I see a change of position concerning you in Jesus name ! Amen.
