Because cancer is the world's second most common cause of death, it's surprising how many of those people have gone untreated until the disease's final stages when little can be done to help them. And this is not their fault, as cancer is infamous for presenting itself as daily problems in seemingly harmless symptoms.
Detecting the disease at its early stages is vital for treating and "curing" it effectively. That's why we need to be cautious about all the forms across our bodies that it can show itself.
Here are some cancer signs that you may be unaware of or find harmless:
Sudden and Unexplained Weight Loss
Weight loss is one of the most common symptoms of stomach, lung, or pancreatic cancers unless you deliberately tried to make that happen by diet and exercise. So be careful before you start to celebrate the sudden shedding of pounds!
Blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma manifest in high fevers in the early stages. Fever may also be a symptom of kidney or colon cancer in the early stages.
Fatigue & Tiredness
His normal feeling from time to time exhausted, say after a busy week at work or a long journey. You will recover with some well-deserved rest in these situations. But if fatigue does not even go away with rest, it may point to cancers such as stomach, colon, or blood (leukemia).
Aches & Pain
Discomfort is one of the most common cancer signs, as well as one of the most frequently ignored cancer signs. Bone and testicular cancer may cause pain, frequent and severe headaches can be a sign of brain tumor, and back pain may be an ovarian or colon cancer symptom.
Sudden Skin Change
You may find a sudden skin change to be weather-or diet-related. And while that may be the case, you may be in for quite a surprise if it never happened before. It is important to inspect freckles, moles, or warts that change their appearance, color, or size for cancer. It was also recognized that the disease causes darker-looking, reddish skin or yellowish skin and eyes.
Changes in Bowel Movements
Diarrhea or constipation that does not get better with medication or a sudden change in stool size can lead to cancer of the rectum or colon. And if, after passing urine, you feel blood, you should be tested for cancer of the bladder or prostate.
Shortness of Breath
Breathlessness as a symptom of cancer can be caused if there is cancer in or near the lungs due to blockage of air tubes. Other cancers such as breast, ovary, or liver can also cause it.
When detected early on, cancer is more curable. Although some cancers grow completely without signs, if you ignore symptoms, the disease can be particularly devastating because you don't believe such symptoms could be cancer.
