How to use Speedtest to check if your Android Phone can Stream 4K Videos

Ookla  recently stated that the video streaming test will be expanded to the Android app. When you upgrade the Speedtest app on your Android smartphone to the newest version, you'll see a new Video tab in the bottom row.The test begins with an adaptive bitrate test before moving on to a series of short video clips with progressively higher quality. It comes to a halt when the resolution exceeds 4K. It will display the highest resolution that your internet can support at the conclusion of the test. It also displays information such as load time in milliseconds and buffering.

The new test allows customers to rapidly determine if their existing internet connection is capable of enabling high-quality streaming. Although raw bandwidth statistics may be used to determine if your internet is fast enough to stream 4K movies, the video test is a much more efficient and easy benchmark for non-technical consumers.

The video streaming test is now available in the Speedtest app's newest version. Download the latest version of Speedtest from the playstore to see whether your mobile internet or broadband can stream 4K videos.
