Daily, hoodlums look for ways to rob others of their hard-earned money. They have used different methods, but the bank has been the most frequent means that have helped them to succeed in this quest of robbing people.
The ATM machine provided by banks has made a withdrawal of money easy for customers. This notwithstanding, so many hoodlums have as well leverage on this same ATM machine to cause havoc to people's money in their bank accounts. When you see people cue on an ATM machine, not everyone there has come to withdraw his/her money, some are there to rob others, should they see any slightest mistake by any account owner, and this they see as an opportunity. Most people who do this are not illiterates, but they are well learned and knowledgeable people, especially in the area of technology.
One of the current ways of robbing people via ATM is that this hoodlums, after using or pretending to have used the bank ATM machine, will set up the Key Pad of the ATM machine in a way that it will steal users PIN code, which they will retrieve afterward and used to steal the user's money. To prevent this, every ATM user should press the ATM “Cancel” button two times before inserting his/her ATM card into the ATM machine for withdrawal or any other transaction. This will cancel the set up made by anyone to steal your PIN. It is important that you make this a habit in every transaction you want to make, as it will help greatly to keep you and your hard-earned money safe and secure from these hoodlums.
